Kazakh airline Scat Airlines made the first direct flight from Shymkent to Tbilisi.

The airline flies between Shymkent and Tbilisi twice a week.

166 passengers boarded the first flight from Shymkent to Tbilisi International Airport and vice versa.

The event related to the inaugural flight at Tbilisi International Airport was attended by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Aleksandre Khvtisiashvili, General Director of the Union of Airports Levan Moseshvili, General Manager of TAV Georgia Thea Zakaradze, representatives of the Civil Aviation Agency and the airline.
