Artificial snowmaking works are actively being carried out on Didveli and Mitarbi ski areas, and the gradual opening of the tracks is planned from December 27. As for the resorts of Gudauri, Mestia and Goderdze, the cable cars are scheduled to be activated from December 27, and the ski tracks will be opened gradually, depending on the weather and the state of the snow cover.

From December 27, Gudauri and Kobi cable cars will be put into operation - first, Soliko, Gudaura, Kobi, Firni and Truso. At the same time, the artificial snowmaking works continue and the tracks will be gradually opened according to the snow cover.

From the same day, the Zuruld cable car will be activated on the Hatsvali skating area. Hatsval and Tetnuld skiing tracks will be opened gradually, depending on the weather and snow. It is subject to the terms of the cover. Also, from December 27, the "Zanka" cable car will be launched at the Goderdzi resort.

From December 20, tickets for Bakuriani cable cars can be purchased only at the Kokhta box office at the resort. The online sale of tickets will start on December 23 and will be available on the following applications and websites: TKT.GE, BILETEBI.GE, SKIPASS.GE, as well as in the Super App and Mount App. Vacationers will be able to purchase tickets of different categories for Gudauri, Bakuriani, Mestia and Goderdze resorts on the platforms.

The winter season of 2025-2026 is of special importance for the "Mountain Tracks Agency", because for the third time, Georgia will host the Freeride World Tour. The event will be held on Tetnuld in Svaneti from February 22 to 28 (within the weather window) and 50 outstanding riders will take part in it. Georgia is among the 6 leading exclusive countries (France, Spain, Switzerland, Austria, USA and Georgia) that has hosted the Freeride World Cup. The right to conduct a sweat tour was obtained.

Holding the event is very important for the international recognition of the mountain resorts of Georgia, for the development of winter sports and tourism. The country has already taken an honorable place on the world sports map - in past years, Georgia has successfully hosted the stages of the World Cup in ski cross, snowboard cross and mogul disciplines. Holding the freeride world tour will not only increase the awareness of Georgia, but the country's mountain and ski resorts will once again be marked on the world map for winter sports lovers.
