The National Tourism Administration continues to mark hiking trails across the country.
This year, organized by the administration, 12 trails with a length of 74.4 km were marked: Racha-Lechkhum in the regions of Kvemo Svaneti, Kvemo Kartli, Imereti, Mtskheta-Mtianeti and the outskirts of Tbilisi.
In recent years, the National Tourism Administration has marked 131 individual as well as network trails.
Their total length is 1590 km and covers all regions of the country, in many cases connecting regions with each other.
The goal of the project is to bring all mountain-hiking trails across the country into a single system.
Trails help stimulate active adventure in Georgia, providing local residents and tourists with a safe and organized travel opportunity to hike a variety of easy to moderate trails and visit mountains, lakes, valleys, waterfalls, and historical monuments without the need for a road trip.
