2025 most popular tourist destinations according to Google

Google has revealed the most popular destinations in the world last year in its annual report. According to the company's search data, travelers in 2025 preferred destinations that are cultural and, at the same time, full of activities and events, and the most frequently searched city was Bilbao.

Interestingly, six of the ten most searched destinations last year are located in Spain. In addition to Bilbao, Santander (4th place), Ibiza (5th place) and Malaga (7th place) made the top ten of Google's annual report. The second most popular search destination was Barbados, the popularity of which increased especially in anticipation of the increase in flights and the opening of new hotels. In the top five we also find Dubai, which has been considered a popular destination for vacationers for years.

Along with this, Google also published the top ten destinations that remote workers search for most often. The report mentions that in similar directions Search interest in Ebi was strong, meaning the telecommuting culture continues to influence traveler choices. According to Google, travelers were more likely to look for places that facilitate remote work, provide them with reliable Internet access, and at the same time have reasonable living costs and a high quality of life.

Colombia topped the list. Along with this, the country also offers travelers the necessary infrastructure for remote work and low living costs. And in second place, thanks to simplified visa regulations and access to open spaces, is New Zealand.

Several European countries also made the list, including Latvia (4th place) and Bulgaria (5th place), Poland (6th place), Slovenia (m 7th place) and Finland (9th place).
