1,250,417 visitors traveled to protected areas in 2025

In 2025, 1,250,417 visitors traveled to the protected areas of Georgia, which is a record number of visitors. Compared to 2024, the number of visitors has increased by almost 13%. The Agency of Protected Areas disseminates information about this. 

According to them, the mentioned statistics indicate the growing popularity of protected areas among both local and international visitors.

The most visited protected areas are: Prometheus Cave - 285,883 visitors Martvili Canyon - 275,475 visitors Mtirala National Park - 131,271 visitors Sataflii Cave - 105,389 visitors Tsalki Canyon - 98,809 visitors

"In 2025, the number of Georgian visitors amounted to 515,188, which reflects a 12% increase compared to 2024. The number of foreign visitors increased by 14%, the number of travelers reached 735,229 visitors.

The data confirms that the protected areas of Georgia are becoming more and more attractive Ba, which significantly contributes to the development of ecotourism and the promotion of the country's natural heritage.
