In 2025, 5.5 million tourist visits were made

In 2025, a record number of tourist visits was recorded in Georgia and reached a historical maximum of 5,521,866 visits, which is 8.4% more than in 2024.  The National Tourism Administration disseminates information about this.  

According to their own statement, 7,803,239 international travelers visited Georgia last year, which is 5.9% more than in 2024.

In 2025, a record number of visits from EU countries and Great Britain was recorded and amounted to 499,890 visits, which is an increase of 14% compared to 2024. 

It should be noted that last year a record high number of visits was recorded from the United Kingdom (+39.1%; +12,646 visits); from Greece (+28.2%; +7,765 visits); from France (+17.4%; +4,917 visits); from Italy (+39.4%; +7,840 visits); from Spain (+48.6%; +7,167 visits).

In addition to the European Union and Great Britain, growth is recorded from other target tourist markets.  202 In 5th year, 145,513 visits were made from the Persian Gulf countries (+3.4% increase; +4,774 visits), including a high increase in visits from Saudi Arabia, (+9.1%; +8,042 visits).

A special increase in visits in 2025 is recorded from the following countries: Israel (+91,444 visits; +29.4%); Azerbaijan (+72,793 visits; +33.2%;); China (+39,312 visits; +44.4%)

In 2025, the 4th quarter was distinguished by international tourist visits. In the period of September-December last year, a record growth of international tourist visits was realized and reached a historical maximum of 1,214,772 visits, the increase compared to the same period of 2024 is +10.5%.

As for the visits of international travelers, in the period of September-December last year, 1,693,484 international travelers visited Georgia, the increase compared to the 4th quarter of 2024 is +7.6%.
