The expenses incurred during international visits in the IV quarter of 2025 equaled ₾3 billion

In the IV quarter of 2025, the number of international non-resident travelers was recorded on the territory of Georgia

1.7 million arrivals, which is 7.6 percent more than the same period last year. The largest share of arrivals, 45.2 percent, was made by travelers aged 31-50. "Sakstat" disseminates information about this. 

Out of the mentioned number, the number of visits made by international visitors amounted to 1.5 million, which is 8.3 percent more than the indicator of the same period of 2024.

In the IV quarter of 2025, the number of international visitors reached 1.3 million, which is 9.1 percent more than the figure of the same period of the previous year. During the reporting period, 1.2 million tourist type visits were made by international visitors, which is 10.5 percent more than the indicator of the same period of the previous year. The chart below shows the distribution of the number of visits made by international visitors by type of visit.

International visa 79.5 percent of the Tories were just tourists. The share of excursionists alone was 16.5 percent, and 4.0 percent of visitors were both tourists and excursionists.

In the IV quarter of 2025, the largest number of visitors, 280.6 thousand, was recorded from the Russian Federation, which accounted for 22.1 percent of the total number of visitors. Turkey was in second place with a share of 17.1%, and Armenia was in third place with a share of 12.7%. Accordingly, the largest number of visits was made by citizens of the Russian Federation (334.0 thousand), Turkey (285.2 thousand) and Armenia (228.1 thousand).

The majority of visitors (46.2 percent) belonged to the age group of 31-50 years, and the number of women was 40.2 percent of the total number of visitors. In the IV quarter of 2025, the largest part of visits (43.7 percent) was made for the purpose of rest, entertainment and recreation.

Most of the visits were made in Tbilisi and Ajara A/R, respectively, 866.8 thousand and 466.9 thousand visits. below The bar graph shows the percentage distribution of the number of visits according to the regions visited. 

The average number of nights spent during visits made in the IV quarter of 2025 was 4.95 nights, which is 1.9 percent less than the rate recorded in the IV quarter of 2024 (5.05 nights). 82.1 percent of the visits were repeat visits.

The expenses incurred during the visits made in the IV quarter of 2025 equaled 3.0 billion GEL, which is 1.0 percent more than the indicator of the same period of the previous year. The average cost per visit decreased by 6.8 percent compared to the IV quarter of 2024 and amounted to 1,946.7 GEL.
