The US may refuse a visa on the basis of diabetes or obesity

According to an executive order issued by the administration of US President Donald Trump, foreigners who try to get a visa to live in the US may be refused because of certain health conditions, including diabetes or obesity.

Immigration officers are tasked with denying applicants entry to the US for new reasons, including age or how likely they are to be dependent on welfare.

According to the guidelines, such people could become a "burden on society" that could drain US resources because of their health or age.
