In the III quarter, Georgians spent ₾699.9 million abroad
In the III quarter of 2025, 784.7 thousand Georgian resident travelers went abroad from the territory of Georgia, which is 3.4 percent more than the figure of the same period of the previous year. The largest share of trips, 41.4 percent, was made by travelers aged 31-50.
According to "Sakstat", out of the mentioned number, visits abroad made by resident visitors of Georgia amounted to 599.7 thousand, which is 0.6 percent less than the indicator of the same period of 2024.
Resident visitors of Georgia made 412.6 thousand tourist type visits abroad, which is 2.6 percent more than the figure of the same period of the previous year.
The majority of visits (45.9 percent) were made by Georgian resident visitors aged 31-50 years, and the number of visits made by women made up 47.6 percent of the total number of visits.
In the third quarter of 2025, the largest part of visits (36.1 percent) was made to visit friends/relatives for bis purpose. The majority of visits were made to Turkey and the Russian Federation, respectively, 213.6 thousand and 113.7 thousand visits.
The average number of nights spent during the visits made in the III quarter of 2025 was 7.90, which is 0.5 percent more than the indicator recorded in the III quarter of 2024 (7.86 nights). 97.8 percent of visits were repeat visits.
The expenses incurred during the visits made in the III quarter of 2025 equaled 699.9 million GEL, which is 3.6 percent more than the indicator of the same period of the previous year. The average cost per visit increased by 4.1 percent compared to the third quarter of 2024 and amounted to 1,167.2 GEL.
