From January 12, 2026, a new European destination - Bratislava will be added to Kutaisi International Airport. According to the General Director of the Association of Georgian Airports, Levan Moseshvili, the addition of the route to the capital of Slovakia was possible as a result of intensive and successful negotiations between the Association of Georgian Airports and Wizz Air. 

"The addition of the Bratislava route is another important step in the diversification of Kutaisi International Airport's flight routes. Cooperation with our strategic partner Wizz Air is getting stronger every year, which helps to create new opportunities in the aviation market of Georgia. Bratislava, with its strategic location in the heart of Europe, naturally becomes an important regional traffic hub. The city is about 1 hour's drive from Vienna and has exceptionally easy connections to other major cities in Central Europe. 

It is this geographical advantage that strengthens the importance of Bratislava Nelo is both an attractive tourist destination and a strategic center of the modern aviation industry, Levan Moseshvili said. 

Europe's most environmentally sustainable airline Wizz Air will operate on the Bratislava-Kutaisi-Bratislava route four times a week: Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. The flights will be performed with a modern Airbus A321neo aircraft. It is already possible to buy air tickets on the official website of the airline.
