"The diverse potential of Georgia's resorts is an important basis for economic progress. They create a wide range of tourist products and ensure the country's high competitiveness in the international market. The opportunities of the climatic and balneological resorts of Georgia allow the country to attract millions of visitors every year, create thousands of new jobs and make a significant contribution to the country's economy," said Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Irakli Nadareishvili at the international forum FoResorts! 2025 during the speech.
The forum was organized by the Resorts Development Agency and was attended by the world's leading experts in the field of resort science, scientists, high-level managers of the resort industry, decision-makers of international organizations, private and state sectors.
The Deputy Minister focused on several important initiatives, which Mt Vroba implements for the development of the resort sector. Among them, Irakli Nadareishvili named investments in the development of tourism infrastructure and human capital for the industry. "The goal of the state is not only the renovation and modernization of existing resorts, but also the development of new resort areas. Our country has all the prerequisites necessary for success - natural environment, centuries-old culture, rapidly growing tourist market, consistent policy and growing investments, which lead to sustainable and competitive development of the resort industry," Irakli Nadareishvili noted.
